WANNA KNOW WHY THIS SCENE (besides the obvious) MAKES ME WANNA FLY INTO THE SUN?

In film it’s a common practice to use the lines of a set’s architecture in a shot in order to convey the hidden message of the scene. You are missing on my whole dissertation as to why the design of this show is brilliant but let me tell you a thing.

This right here? Those shadows cast on both of them? Looks a bit like a prison, hmm? WELL YOU ARE RIGHT. THIS IS THE SHOW TELLING US THAT THESE TWO ASSHOLES ARE BOTH CAUGHT IN THIS SQUIRREL CAGE OF SELF AND WOW HUH FORESHADOWING because no really right now Hannibal is building a “cage” around Will to manipulate him into something like himself while Will is skirting around these REALLY OBVIOUS CLUES that Hannibal isn’t what he seems. Will is the one that catches Hannibal, but only because they’re so alike.

Say swear if we get a scene where Will has a moment and becomes Hannibal I will throw myself off the cliff outside my house.
